Review of Premium
The Cellars Wine Club Premium Wine Club is great for people just starting to develop an appreciation for wine and who want to discover new wines from around the world. Each month will feature two bottles (both red or one red and one white) plus a newsletter detailing the wineries and wines included in the shipment.
I ordered the mixed wine pack of one bottle of red and one bottle of white. I actually researched the bottles that I received to see how much they would sell for. Neither was readily available anywhere else but the combined price of the two definitely exceeded the cost of the club. The newsletter was short but very interesting. In addition to the winery information, it included tasting notes for each of the wines so that you knew how to pair them and what you would find when you started to drink them.
The club makes a great gift because no membership is required and there are no minimum number of shipments. The Premier Wine Club is priced affordably and a great value when you consider that the cost includes shipping and handling, which can be high with other clubs. Even if you do not know your recipient's wine tastes well, you could not go wrong with sending the mixed pack.
If you are sending the Premium Wine club as a gift, I would suggest letting your recipients know in advance because they will need to have someone over 21 receive the shipment. Cellars Wine Club includes a free e-card to let your recipient know that a gift will be on the way. This makes the wine club a terrific last minute gift. Send the e-card now and know that the gift will arrive in the next few weeks.
